Jihyun Lee | Choreographer & Director A graduate of Seoul Arts High School and Ewha Womans University (B.A., M.A., Ph.D.), Jihyun Lee currently leads 22Collective Lab and serves as a permanent member of Mutdance.
Her artistic vision centers on deconstructing the traditional archetypes of Korean dance—breath and improvisation—to reveal the inner essence of the performer. Within her precisely engineered structures, diverse cultural energies converge into a unified whole. Through rigorous research, Lee defines the "here and now" of Korean dance, pushing the boundaries of contemporary movement.
Her global presence includes choreographic invitations to France and Morocco. Her signature piece, Homo Nomad, recognized by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and the Pyeongtaek Cultural Foundation, continues its journey as an official selection for the 2025 GAF Performing Arts Festival.
